A Special Lesson: Children at War

IMG_4320.JPG

Today we were visited by 3 students from Bradley University. Jessica (LV Class of ’09), Sarah, and Rachel spoke about the role of the Red Cross, how International Humanitarian Law can intervene, and the forces that drive children into warfare. These women gave up their class time to present, and did a wonderful job engaging our students.

Their message is one of action. What can you do? What can our global community do? Even war has limits, and it’s crucial that we spread awareness to end this practice. Hopefully the students come home talking about it.
