Blogger for a Day by Grace M, period 6

In the beginning of class we went over some examples from history fair projects from the past. After that we went back to our ‘2×5 boxes’ notes from yesterday. We reviewed the Missouri compromise. The next thing we did was going over the Tariff of 1820. We found out that the Southerners were unhappy with the law and wanted to cancel it. Next, we talked about Nat Turners Rebellion in 1831. After Nat Turner and the other slaves involved in killing 60 slave owners, they were brutally murdered. Then, we learned about the Tariff of 1832 and the Compromise of 1850. In the Compromise of 1850, California was made into a free state. Southerners aren’t happy about that decision but they are allowed to go into the North to get runaway slaves.
