American Revolution 1775-1778 – Periods 2, 3, 5, 7, and 8

Next week we will be having an open notes/open book test which means that paying attention in class and taking good notes is even more critical than it is the rest of the time. Today we discussed the first half of the American Revolution, the years 1775-1778. The six main points covered in class were the Battles of Lexington and Concord, Bunker Hill, the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Battle of Long Island, The Battle of Saratoga, and the winter at Valley Forge. Here is the PowerPoint presentation that has all of the notes on it:

There is no regular homework tonight, and there is no regular homework tomorrow night because I want the students to put in as much effort as possible on History Fair. I cannot wait to see the finished products!!!
