Allen Iverson as an Example

I was never an Allen Iverson fan growing up.  Hated his attitude, hated some of his me-first style of play, and was generally annoyed with some of his antics.  But as a coach, I’ve begun to appreciate some of the things he did/does well.  As one of the shortest players in the league, he used simple and precise moves – namely his killer crossover – to get open, attacked the basket with ferocity, and fearlessly shot with men much taller and stronger than him closing him out (GAMESPEED!).  Our girls could learn some of those lessons, as opposed to his questionable attitude.  Two videos below; the first is a career of highlights, the second proving even the best can get beat by a crossover.
